1 year ago, I joined the girl brigade as a volunteer to lead them through various activities. They are very shy and not as open as I hope they will be. Often, it took me more than needed, to get them to respond to me in one sentence. I felt pretty helpless and was cracking my head about how to get them to be more responsive towards me. Finally, one day, this idea came to me ---> why not try baking something to bring to meeting?! Decided to bake chocolate chip cookies. Who will deny themselves this indulgent, especially teens.
